The Beech Lane Dental Practice offers the following services in Restorative Dentistry. ˇ FILLINGS: Also known as 'restorations' using a variety of materials appropriate to the treatment situation. ˇ CROWNS: Using a variety of aesthetically designed materials made of either precious metal covered with porcelain or porcelain only. The type of crown used is selected according to the treatment situation. They are also known as 'caps'. ˇ BRIDGEWORK: This is a non-removable system for replacing a missing tooth or teeth. ˇ PROSTHODONTICS: Removable full or partial dentures made of high-impact acrylic (not easy to break) or acrylic and cast stainless metal. ˇ ENDODONTICS: A treatment option for saving a tooth that would otherwise be lost. Most, but not all teeth can be saved this way. ˇPERIODONTICS: Reversing or halting gum and bone disease if not too advanced. ˇ IMPLANTS: Another way of replacing a missing tooth in a fixed, non-removable way. This is normally referred to an appropriate specialist. ˇ ORAL HYGIENE: This also comes under the heading of Periodontics and is ordinarily referred to as a 'cleaning'. It is associated with a big effort to help you learn how to prevent dental disease. This is the Beech Lane Dental Practice's priority approach. |
| The services of any Dental Practice are going to have to be paid for, be it prevention or treatment. Ideally we would prefer to be paid for prevention only. |
